The Famous Ladder Co. 8 Fire House. Commonly known as the home of the GhostBusters.

A lot has changed since the movies of course. The Original doors have been replaced with a single garage style door to make things easier on the Fire Fighters who call it home these days. As well as a memorial plaque dedicated to Lt. Vincent G. Halloran who was lost in the line of duty September 11, 2001.

As I understand, they still have the Sign from GhostBusters II inside. Sadly they weren't home while I was there. I hear they like to show it off.

This Fire House was also featured in an episode of Seinfield "The Secret Code" where Kramer accidentally knocks out a fire fighter and has to take over steering the back of the truck.

Being a huge GhostBusters fan as long as I can remember, this was a must for our trip.

"I had your action figure as a kid!"
